Volume

We charge by weight and volume. We start by determining how much stuff you have, would it fill a truck? Would it fill half of a truck? Our dump trucks carry 17 cubic yards of material, which is about the equivalent of seven large pickup truck loads. Look at the pile of material that you need to have hauled and ask yourself how many pickup trucks it would take to carry it off. This is a good place to start determining your estimate.

Weight

The next factor is how heavy it is: A truckload of dry branches is different than a truckload of gold bricks! (We are happy to haul away your gold bricks) Please make a note of any heavy materials or items you might have, such as dirt or concrete. This is usually not a factor when dealing with normal household junk or construction debris.

Accessibility

Is your load in a place where we can back the truck up to it? Great! Will we need to carry across a yard or around a house? That's usually just fine too, but if it is somewhere far from where we can park a truck, or in an awkward place, we need to know. Which leads us to the next category:

Labor

We do a reasonable amount of labor for free- if we are just loading your pile into the truck, we would certainly not charge you for labor! However, if we need to spend some time tearing a structure down or carrying the load from an awkward place, we may charge hourly labor, depending on the situation.

Appliances and Tires

Unfortunately, we are charged a surcharge at the recycling centers for large appliances such as refrigerators or washers and dryers, as well as tires, so we pass the charge over to you. Sorry!

Toxic Materials

Sorry, we cannot take toxic materials such as paint, cleaning materials, or anything remotely radioactive. However, Concord Hazardous Material Recycling can take these for you. Their phone number is (800) 646-1431.
